SAN in simple words →
Imagine you have a big library, and you want to make sure many people can read and write books there super fast. A SAN is like a secret superhighway just for delivering and storing these books.
Here's what happens:
- Storage Devices: In this library, you have lots of bookshelves (storage devices) where you keep your books (data).
- Special Roads: Instead of regular roads, you have special high-speed roads (network) that connect your bookshelves to computers. These roads are like express lanes for data.
- Block-Level Access: People don't take entire books; they take small parts of books (blocks) at a time, like reading just one page. This makes it really quick to get what they need.
